Training Course CARE THROUGH VOLUNTEERING
Close, Aware, Responsible, Engaged together took place in Romania from 22-29 Aug, 2011. The projecy was finacned by the Youth in Action Program, Action 3.1. The theme of our training course was the fight against discrimination, the care for the other, through the means of volunteering.
Our project’s purpose was to improve the participants’ ability to find, either alone, or together with the others, new and creative ways of actively engaging in voluntary activities which could lead to diminishing discrimination, racism, violence and social exclusion. During the training course there were various workshops, simulation games, intercultural activities, where we could learn about each others cultures and countries more. We all had an unforgettable time together also involved in social activities, exploring Romania and its culture,

Volunteering Work Camps

PRESENT TIME - PAST TENSE - ARCHELOGIC WORK ON THE RUINS OF A MONASTRY

This summer the members of our organisation participated also in the volunteer work camp which took place in Gollingen, Germany. The participants were involved in the restoration works of the Monastery of St. Wigbert which was built by Benedictine monks in 1005. In their free time they visited the Harz Mountains or the fabled Kyffh Mountain , the Wartburg castle or the cities of Weimar and Erfurt.

29th INTERNATIONAL YOUTH MEETING !

This year again the annual international youth meeting took place in Dachau,Germany from 30 July - 12 AUG ,2011. More than 100 young people from all over the world gathered together to discuss the present problems of exclusion, racism and discrimination and try to find common solutions for fighting them, they had workshops about the history of Holocaust, and also had opportunity for sharing and exchanging ideas and experiences.

Delegation consisting of 5 members of ACE represented Armenia at the meeting. All the participants had an unforgettable experience, aside from workshops they also participated in cultural and social events, had time to explore Munich and learn about the German culture and history.

International Winter School DEC27- JAN 03

This year we will deal with the topic of feminism and gender. We will analyse our today's society, why woman and man are still not equal in our society. We will have as well a look in our organisation and exporing how to change them to overcome male domination and will develop methods and tools to achieve gender equality in our organisation and might help us as well in society.

The seminar starts on the 27th of December in the afternoon until 3rd of January 2011 around lunch time. The venue will be the education centre "Kurt L?wenstein"in Werftpfuhl, 30km outside Berlin. Invited are 18-26 year old members .
Working language is english, therefore active english language skills are required.

Together with more than 140 comrades from more than 25 different organisations we will work for one week in workshops, creative working groups and political forums among other methods on the topic.
Besides sharing work and lots of political debates, the participants will not forget to have fun together. They will spend as well a day in Berlin and will celebrate together new years eve .
